Coventry University enlisted Parkeray Lite to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment and re-configuration project to create additional teaching spaces at their Middlesex Street Campus in London.
The main aim was to accommodate the closure of another building and meet the increased demand for teaching areas. The project involved refurbishing and re-configuring classrooms, computer suites, and break-out areas during the Christmas recess.
Kingston University engaged Parkeray Lite to convert a former library into a brand-new art studio facility on the third floor at the Penrhyn Road Campus. The project required meticulous planning and consideration to ensure minimal disruption to staff and students over eight weeks.
Following strip out and enabling works, our team completed the necessary modifications to the existing space and services to accommodate the new layout; this included the fit out of prefabricated MDF dividers to provide enclosed Post Graduate Fine Art Studio spaces alongside a new washroom facility.
Parkeray Lite refurbished the ground floor café at Kingston University’s Roehampton Vale Campus during the summer recess in time for the new academic year. The contemporary design comprised off-the-shelf, bespoke joinery elements, and included the fit out of a fully equipped servery and a relaxed seating area.
Working in a live environment made stakeholder engagement a crucial part of the construction process, with regular design meetings hosted on-site to ensure effective communication and prompt decision-making throughout the six-week project.
